    Talking I'm headin' back out there.....

    We've had our late lunch and I'm heading back out to the garden. DH, Delaney and I are planting and the boys have been helping as well plus filling and cleaning the pool and making a stand for the pump.

    We have been so busy this weekend on our homestead....the weather has been beautiful yesterday and today. We have planted so far:

    ~6 rows of corn
    ~40 asparagus plants
    ~8 rhubarb
    ~3 red current bushes
    ~70 raspberry plants
    ~250 strawberry plants......270 to go!
    ~48 tomato plants, that many to go yet

    Hopefully this afternoon we can get the rest of the strawberries, green/red pepper plants and tomatoes in plus all the seeds I have. If it's getting too late we'll at least make the rows and tie them off and I can plant the seeds this week.

    Well......best be on my way, I've been thinking of you all on your own homesteads......

    Hi ladies....it's 9:30 p.m. here and I just finished my supper. I am headed for the shower to get half the garden off of me! I am SO sore...the back of my legs obviously haven't had this kind of workout in awhile!

    We finished all the strawberries, tomatoes and peppers and staked out the rest of the rows. I'll finish this week. It feels so good to have got so much done.
