    Default Getting excited!

I had planted my spinach outside too early and it died-not good. Started new ones in the house a few weeks ago and they are looking pretty good. Today we bought 4 rose bushes-it is so cold out today, but I can't wait to get started!! Wish me luck....

    Good Luck!

We have worked outside all day today (well, we spent a good part of the day at nurseries buying what we needed LOL). We got 3 hibiscus planted in the front yard and got a corn plant (doesn't grow ears of corn though LOL), an anthirium, and a dracaena transplanted into nice pots and they are in the entryway coming up to our front door. Tomorrow we are planting a triple trunk pygmy date palm and a couple of mamey crotons. This is a really big deal for us because neither of us are very good at gardening.

We still need another palm for the front yard and maybe some ground cover reuella (Mexican petunia). We're definitely going to have to find some more things to plant in the *island* in the front yard. THEN we move on to the backyard.......... WHEW! We won't try our hand at any vegetables until next year.
