Thumbs up What are you harvesting from your garden?

I thought this would be a fun thread. How about we post here what we are harvesting and using from our gardens?

I'll start...Yesterday I made a salad with lettuce and spinach from the garden. I also used some oregano is my spagetti sauce and got my first head of brocolli cut and used. I steamed the brocolli and then put a little Yoshida's Gourmet Suace on it. Yummy!

So, what are you eating from your garden?

I am harvesting dirt, does that count? LOL I have nothing up and ready to use. But i didn't plant anything so i really shouldn't be surprised. With dh and his back yard car lot on top of my veggie patch, and with the neighbors going to need access to our yard to build their retaining wall this summer sometime, i dind't do much planting.

I do however have a chocolate mint plant that i have used some leaves from, and one yum thing i found with that is to take a plump leaf or two from that and bruise the heck out of it. then put it in a cup and pour hot coffee or tea over it. one or two leaves will flavor a cup very nicely. And my raspberrries might put out a pint or a pint and a half this year!

We have gotten a corn, tomatoes and potatoes so far. The rabbits have gotten to the broccoli so we haven't gotten much of it.

Our garden just went in a few weeks ago so we arent harvesting much yet. What we have been having for weeks now is romaine and mesclun mix and eating salads almost every night. I also have been using dill, chives for cooking & lemon balm in my iced tea. (wish I could have found lemon verbena as I really like that much more)

Peas, peas and more peas! The lettuce is doing great too! The tomatoes are coming on strong, it shouldn't be too much longer before they are ready! I have a zucchini starting! I wish we could grow broccoli here. Well, this might have been a good year for it. It's usually too hot and dry.

I've only had radishes and chives so far.
My green bean plants just starting flowering a few days ago, so those should be soon.
The peas just started flowering today.

Corn has a long way to go!! lol

    The rest, I'm not sure.

I've been picking tomatoes, chives, radishes, lettuce, oregano, mint, parsley, celery and broccoli. I pulled out all the cauliflower and broccoli yesterday as I had bugs in them and they drove me nuts. I'm really looking forward to harvesting the onions and potatoes which should be ready in about 6 weeks.

We're picking yellow squash today and we have a few peppers ready as well. I'm dying for a fresh tomato! (have to wait till mid-July for those here)

So far I have had strawberries, asparagus, spinach, lettuce, mustard greens, turnips, zucchini, yellow squash, broccoli, cabbage and peas; and I have green beans just about ready. I am waiting on those tomatoes though!

We've had two nice batches of strawberry shortcake! The lettuce is coming along nicely and the summer squash is starting to bear small plants. I've been throwing chives into my cooking for a while now along with some other garden herbs as well.
