Thumbs up Calming to the soul

I have my computer desk set up in my upstairs foyer. Each time I open my door, (even before I had the computer here) I could look outside and see this. Often you can see a squirrel or two and a couple times we've seen rabbits. It has never failed to calm me during times of stress or as I think about things. Just wanted to share it with all of you.

Do you have a special place, such as this, that calms your spirit?

Yes. It's the big blue spruce tree that fills my living room window. I see birds hopping and hear them chirping as they feed on bugs, raise their families.

I hear the wind in the branches.

It blocks anyone from seeing in, and blocks me from having to look at my neighbors houses.

I feel it's a little patch of heaven.

I love to sit on my back porch in my comfortable chair, petting one of my many cats and looking at the garden and all the hanging baskets we have there this time of year.

I'm a verandah girl too. I have some white wicker chairs on my front verandah and sitting there always makes me feel calm and that everything is right in the world.

I like to sit on our porch and look up at the stars at night, during the day I usually see lots of birds, squirrels and bunnies. It's very relaxing, especially with a cup of tea.

That's a pretty sight CJ. I really like sitting outside in front of our outdoor fireplace that overlooks the creek. Dusk is the best when the bats come out & swoop around. All is right with the world when I'm sitting in my chair overlooking that scene.

    What a lovely view CJ~!

I love sitting outside in the summer time under our big maple trees. I usually get a chance after supper. I just sit and look at the trees, flowers, horses running in the field, the kids......ahhhh!
