seed life
We are still looking for our homestead. But i have started to save things for future use. How long are seeds really good for? i had some that I was told weren't any good. Well I had the best crop of radishes I ever had! lol Any hints?

I've had seeds that have greminated that were a couple of years old before. So I'm no help on this one.

You know what - just save them and plant them - no one knows for sure - I have had completely dead plants come back three years later - I say just try it and see - life is no exact science!!

It depends on the seeds and the temperature they're stored at. Botanical gardens have viable seeds that are 50 - 100 years old but some seeds are dead after 12 months. I'd do what Kimmee suggests, save them all, plant them and see what comes up.

Thanks Ladies. I have over 400 packs of seed and so many I haven't counted that I have traded and swapped for.
