Default did you winterize your garden?

what did you do in your garden this year to protect it from the cold winter temperatures? are there any plants you dig up and take indoors?

No, it's survival of the fittest here. I do mulch some, heaping them with extra leaves.

Chris was suposed to dig up his dahlias but I don't know if he got around to that yet. We did get all the roses, the strawberry bed, the peach tree and the grape vine mulched with straw. I think the boys tried mulching their snapdragons too because one year when we did not have a hard winter they came back again. Oh yes, they also mulched around the cold frame that has the spinach growing in it.

We just over mulch. I put out a thin layer of Pine needles and then bark mulch over the top of it. My plants usually fair very well.
