    Question Marcia (slowtypinwoman)

Hi. I have a question for ya.

There is a garden in or around St Louis that I think used to be called Shaw's Gardens but now is something else? Maybe its a state botanical garden? I just remember going there with my Aunt and her referrring to it as Shaw's Gardens. She is in her 70's now and who knows how long ago it might have been called that. Do you have any idea what I am babbling about?

    TIA

Mel, I think it is just refered to as the Botanical Gardens now. Did it have a garden house made of glass? It is a beauty.

Yep that's it. I was hoping you would know what I was rambling about. I loved going there with my Aunt as a kid. I want to take the dkids this summer if I can get up that way. (I will be draggin 3 with me by then!)

"Tower Grove House, Garden founder Henry Shaw’s 1851 country home, is closed for reinterpretation until late 2004" - This must be where the Shaw's Gardens name came from that stuck in my head. One question though, what does "reinterpretation" mean? lol

Edited because I forgot to say THANK YOU!

    Mel,
If you are going to bring your kids, be sure to go to the Butterfly house. They will love it. I think we might have seen a mini version when we all went to the zoo last year.
