autumn crocus
Here are some autumn crocus growing in my front garden. They always bloom just after prolonged rain.

I don't think it's the same plant, Carolyn. I looked it up.
Colchicum autumnale is most commonly known as autumn crocus, yours is STAR OF BETHLEHEM - Ornithogalum umbellatum. They are alomst identical and both poisonous. I bet they're related.

They are beautiful as are the greens around them. Love all the layers and shades of green.
Thanks for sharing.
Don't want to rush your season but I'm itching for Spring here.
