Good afternoon to all!
CJ, I hope everything settles down soon so you will have time to relax.
The sun is shining and it is suppose to be 74º today. I can feel the sun shining through the windows. I am thinking of opening one up for the breeze. It sure feels like spring to me!!
I have been busy getting rid of the clutter in my house and life. I feel so much better and my house is looking like it should once again. I had felt blah for the longest and finally am perking up!!
DH has a high school umpire meeting tonight. They meet on Sunday's to get their schedules for the upcoming week and to see if there were any complaints/comliments from the past week from any coaches from any of the schools. He hasn't had any complaints so far. WHEW! He has gotten some compliments though. He just seems too busy for me....umpiring high school baseball, assistant fire chief, working full time outside the home, and soon to be umpiring little league baseball too. He is hardly ever home for long periods because he is always on the go, but he loves it. I don't think he knows how to sit still. Even if he doesn't have all this to do, he would be finding something.
Today my plans are to declutter 15 minutes in each room. I am setting and taking the timer with me. Go through all the magazines and toss them. Finish up laundry.
I swept/mopped the floors, cleaned the bathrooms thoroughly, washed all the rugs, changed the sheets yesterday so I am finished with that. WHEW!
I hope you all have a great day!~*Michelle*~

Dh worked from 6:30am until 12:30pm today. His co-worker was supposed to help him with our bathroom remodel today, but he wasn't feeling well so dh told him to go on home.
Ds and I went to Sunday School this morning. He took his own Bible and was so happy because they let him choose a story to read to his class.
Dh missed a really good lesson in the class we're going to.
Dh shaved the oldest dog today. It took about 2.5 hours! She has very thick, curly fur. I helped out a bit and spent a long time trying to lay out an herb garden design with the pavers I dug up out of our side yard. I am going to have to toy around with it on paper because I just can't come up with anything that makes me happy.
We just got back from a drive. Dh sees a lot of what is happening with building and development around us since he is on the road all day for work, but I don't so he showed me some of what's going on.
Dh is worn out from working so long Fri., yesterday, and today and I'm so sore from digging/prepping new spots for the garden beds that have to be moved. I think I'll make some popcorn in a bit and we'll just veg out in front of the tv or pick a dvd to watch.

Good afternoon everyone!
This morning we went to a church that quite a few of our friends from our old church have started going to. We absolutely loved it!!!! And it's only a 20 minute drive from our home!
It was so good to see my "church" family again.
We then came back to town here, dropped off the boys and went to a support and accountability group prayer and meeting for a friend and her family at a local church here. We got quite a bit of pressure to just come and join the church here, but we do not feel called to do that, in fact God has made it clear to my husband and I that we are to pray for blessings upon that church and another new pastor and his family at another church in town and that is our role for now. God has been showing me things to pray about for each church and certain people and I feel that is my role for now in this situation. I do not want to do anything that God does not want me to. Plus, I think God has shown us where he wants us now (even the boys want to go back to the church we attended today) and the message was just what we needed and confirmed some things for us.
Jeff took the twins out driving for awhile (yep, even Gimpy (Chris)).
They need to get in 1 hour a week driving with us and they only had about 1/2 an hour each so far due to Chris breaking his foot. When they get back, Jeff and Josh will change the oil in the little car. Josh, Chris and Jaysn had just finished their Logic (and it was really tough) so we are giving them a break from doing any jobs around the house for a couple of hours. Jaysn is happily playing some military strategy game on his computer.
Our elderly and rather fragile neighbor was taken by ambulance to the hospital this morning. All we know is that they are running some more tests on her but from what we were told by one of the ladies that helped her this morning, anything could happen. We are praying that she will be healed of whatever it is and will be able to return home soon. She is just a wonderful, very opinionated
, funny and spunky woman whom I adore. I'm going to try and call her daughter tonight to see if there is any more news on her.
Praying that you all have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Happy President's Day!
School is out here today and I have the day off from work.
The twins and their friend are sprawled all over the couches and are watching a movie right now and Jaysn is working on a 12 minute speech he has to give. We've been doing laundry like crazy this morning and getting it hung out on the line. I still need to get 4 loaves of bread made and pop one of those into the freezer for future consumption.
There have been some good deals online so I have been working on getting my gift stash built up again for Chrismas/birthday/baby/wedding showers.
This afternoon Chris and I will get some seeds started (didn't get to it yesterday) and Josh will be doing more drywall work for a friend. I also need to figure something out for dinner tonight that the boys can eat early since they have youth group tonight.
Hope you all have a blessed day!

I took ds to lunch at Pizza Hut to use his Book It ticket and my friend and her dd met us there. I haven't gotten to really see her or talk to her since she started working at a Christian school here. She stopped homeschooling her dd and enrolled her in the school (her dh's demand), but she talked to me about it at lunch and they (her and her dd) are both disappointed and fed up with the experience. She said they'll finish out the school year and start homeschooling again next fall. Yay! Now we can do field trips together again!
I also stopped by another Home Depot location on the way home, but was disappointed that they didn't have any different organic seeds than the ones I saw the other day. I will have to look at the one in GA next month on our trip to see if I can find more herbs and diffferent veggies.
Ds and I are just hanging out relaxing a bit from the heat (over 80 today). I'll head out to tend to the garden in a bit.
Have a great day everyone!

Kim,
I'm so glad you got to spend time with your friend today! With your temps there, I'd be tempted to hit the beach!

Oh believe me, ds wanted to go to the beach (Pizza Hut is across the street from the beach!). It's pretty crowded out and about here today with the various schools out (I think public schools went, but all the private schools were out) and I hate going when it's too crowded.

I would love to be at the beach to Kim. I'll take your son.
Today was a work day for us because we had taken 3 days off this month for the fair days. It was kind of crazy at work. I work on a primary elementary campus with 27 teachers/aides/office staff on the campus. There were 8 people out today sick with the flu or virus that is going around. That is happening with the students as well. I hope it skips me.
I don't have much planned for tonight. I hope you all have a great evening.~*Michelle*~

Hello all! Well we had a change of plans yesterday and I did not get the bread made, so that is on the agenda for today. A friend of the boys fell 20 feet out of a tree and fractured his pelvis (this kid is like another son to me and spends lots of his time here) so we spent the afternoon and evening praying for him, getting updates and trying to make sure his siblings (7 of them) were taken care of by various people in the community. I'm going to check on him today and I need to talk to a friend that is staying with them and encourage her to please get a full time job and find a place of her own since she is causing some stress to the family and they do not need it right now. I'm not looking forward to that conversation.
I'm afraid she is going to have to stay here for about a week (that is all DH will allow) until she can find a place of her own. She has no money saved and works cleaning houses about 10 hours a week. She really need to get a full time job and grow up....she's 41 for goodness sakes!
Our Christian World View class has been cancelled for today so that gives me most of the day off!
Jaysn just went to get his brothers from Driver's Ed and they have to be back over for their Driving lessons by 3:30 p.m. today. It's so nice knowing I have the day stretched out before me and will have time to deal witht he friend situation. Pray for me ladies please...this is going to be a rough ride and I'm not looking forward to it.
Be blessed!

HI everyone.

I hope your day is going well. I have no special plans today. I have a few minutes at work, so I popped in to day hi!
I have my normal daily routine planned when I get home tonight. DH is suppose to umpire a high school baseball game tonight. We could always use the $50 plus mileage he gets from doing each game.
It is suppose to pour down rain, but it doesn't look like it yet. I hope it doesn't so he can call the game.
I hope you all have a great day!~*Michelle*~

Hope your sons' friend is doing well, Debbie!
I'm just in from laying out an herb garden of sorts using the landscape pavers and bricks that I dug up out of our side yard. I am not happy with the layout since I can't manipulate them into the shapes I would like, but I can't complain since they were free/salvaged. I do need dh to build me some more wooden boxes to integrate into it all. I love herbs and have had a good time growing them since we moved to our homestead last year.
I did get kind of weirded out when I went out though. There is a bare spot between us and our neighbor to the north (it's always been there but was made worse by the hurricanes) and our neighbor and some other man were standing there looking into our backyard. He acted like he didn't see me and they immediately walked off.
Ds and I ran a few errands this morning - post office, bank, grocery store for bogof ice cream (for ds's bday coming up soon), and the produce stand. Ds was way beyond polite at the produce stand (don't know what got into him ROFL!) and I was so proud of him. The guy running the stand was telling him he liked his Spiderman shoes and being nice to him and ds was quite the little gentleman.
I have so much to do around the house. I have been begging dh again to get a countertop for the cabinets he built and put in the utility/laundry room. I could get so much clutter out of the house and organized out there if he could just make it all come together (I'd love for him to finish the 2 floor to ceiling storage shelving units he started as well!)! I can't stand everything being piled up in the house anymore and we need to get it all moved out there anyway for the remodeling (and that room will be the permanent home to the majority of stuff I move out there).
I need to get busy printing stuff off the net as well. I am going to have to just pick a place/site and print everything I'm interested in and then move to the next one or I'm never going to get it done! I'm so bad!
Off to get ds some juice...........
Have a great day everyone!
