    Talking Let the Mowing begin

Its that time of year again.....or at least close to it.

Joe bought a new push mower a few weeks ago and has started mowing already twice.

He put mulch down in the flower beds as well.

Also the daffodils my mom gave us to plant are starting to bloom and the ones that were here before we moved in along with a few other flowers are blooming as well.

Rub it in, rub it in. LOL, no mowing for us yet, we are under a thick blanket of snow. But the other day I saw daffodil leaves and tulip leaves have popped up in the bulb area i planted.

once we have a nice day, i will put down manure and use the garden claw to work it into the ground of my regular flower bed. I will have to have someone help me get a big bag of manure into the "green bed" i plan on planting later in April (hostas, bleeding heart, lily of the valley, gonna plant asparagus there too I hope)

    Enjoy your garden!!!

I always put off the first mowing because I know once its done, its mowing season well into Oct.

We too are covered with snow so we won't be mowing probably until late April.

I agree with Missy on this one Kat! We won't be mowing around here for at least a month or more yet.

Here is a pic, just so you can see what I mean. lol This pile is about 4½ feet high. The yard has about 2½ feet on it yet!

And yes, those cats sitting on the decking are my outside kitties.

Chris mowed the lawn today. This is the second time we have mowed it this season.

What's a lawn? Still snowcovered here too. The hill behind our house that gets a good amount of sun is losing it's snow though. Knowing lovely NY weather, it'll be covered up again soon.
Lucky you Kat, soon you'll be able to do one of my favorite things, walking barefoot outside. Are you a barefoot type person?
Oh, while I have you here, how's that sweet baby doing?
