Gardening Club competition
~*~GARDENER'S COMPETITION~*~
Take a photo in your garden, or submit an old photo you took in the past. I'm not looking for the "best" garden, rather a photo that shows something of interest in the garden. Picture perfect rows of roses might not win this one but one rose on a garden seat might. I want to see your creativity, I want interest and humour. Maybe you have an old boot in which some violets are growing, maybe it's your cat asleep under the apple tree.
I'm giving you plenty of time to get your plants growing and your cameras ready. June 19 is the closing date.
You must be a gardening club member to take part.
Each member may submit two photos each. I'll create a Gardener's Competition Photos thread soon so we can all see the photos as they start coming in.
The prize is a wonderful Mary Engelbreit Gardener's Journal. The journal is a hard covered book containing helpful information as well as pages where you can map out your own garden, record what you planted - and when, tips for pruning and cutting flowers and much more.
Good luck everyone.

Sounds like fun, Rhonda! I'll start digging in my old photos and think about new ones to take.

I don't want to exclude anyone. If you don't have a digital camera but still want to enter the competition, you can send me your photos by snail mail. Just PM me for my address.

Sorry I'm out of the competition. We don't have anything blooming by June 19th. In fact, most of the leaves aren't even out on the trees yet.

I can't wait to see the entries either. I bet they will be great.
I need to buy a new cord to my digital camera so I can upload pics. Our dog decided to chew the other one in half one day.
I just haven't gotten around to replacing it yet.

Rhonda, I'm in the same boat as CJ, we don't have much blooming by June 19th except dandelions.
I might have some old pictures but I'm not sure how creative they are.

Ladies, I'm putting the date back to mid-August so all our Canadian friends can enter too. The new date is Sunday August 14. I hope that will give everyone a chance to take their photos and either post them, or snail mail them to me so I can scan them in and post them.
It gives us all a nice summer project to work on with plenty of time to plan and take the pictures.
I hope all our gardners will enter.

Gardeners, don't forget our competition. Keep an eye open for photo opportunities while you're outside gardening.
I've created a photos sticky. Please post all your competition entries there. I think a description to go with each photos would be lovely too.
