I am going through the same thing for the second year in a row. I dug up my daffodils and moved them when I moved to the new house. They bloomed fine at my old house but I've only got a couple of blooms out of the whole line of them for the past 2 years. I have no idea what we are doing wrong. I've got nice green stems but no flowers.
Anyone out there got any suggestions for me and Brinda?

They may have to store up some energy in their bulbs before they will bloom. Some of the daffodils I moved last year didn't bloom this year, either.
Also, if they get mowed down too early they won't store enough energy for blooming next year. This is a MAJOR struggle between me and my husband -- I have to take him around the yard and point at things he may not mow YET.
Other than that, I do not know what could be wrong. The only other factor I can think of is planting depth, but I don't think it is much of a problem with daffodils.
Perhaps there is someone here with more expertise in daffodils than I have?!?!?~~Jean~~

Hmmm... I suppose that could be the case. My daffodils were given to me by my mom. Someone gave the bulbs to her, and she never planted them, left them in the plastic bag on her deck, and they actually grew and flowered in the plastic bag! I took them home and planted them lovingly in my flower bed. Not all have survived, which I didn't expect, but this is the second year that they haven't bloomed when they got nice and healthy leaves. I don't even have a stem where a flower would be.

It really sounds to me like they need to soak up some energy and maybe next year they will bloom. Are they getting plenty of sun?

They get about 6 hours of sun a day. I didn't realize they were full sun flowers until after I planted them.
