what vines and creepers do you have growing?
And where are they growing?
I have my beautiful wisteria that is loosing its leaves at the moment. It's growing on archway entrance to my front garden.
A large purple potato creeper, growing on lattice at the back of a front garden.
A lovely pink flowers creeper (I forget the name) over the archway entrance to my vegetable garden.
Several star jasmine along the driveway. These are growing on wires attached to the fence.
Honeysuckle, at the front verandah, growing on a cane tee pee.
Climbing maiden hair fern in a pot.

So far my only vine is a purple clematis. This is only year 2 but is spreading out nicely along the trellis dh put at the end of our porch. It will, hopefully, have purple flowers in mid-summer. I was wondering, my neighbor cuts hers all the way back every fall. I did not cut mine but it is nice and green and seems to be fine. Should I cut mine this fall?

A couple clematis vines, new morning glories and moon flowers, and grape vines.

Also wild morning glories that are taking over, and some bushy climbers on the back of the house I am cutting down as they are going up under our siding. (Eeeeek!!)

The only blooming vines I have are morning glories and moon vine. I let them climb on my clothesline poles.
I'd love to have honeysuckle but my husband refuses to let me plant it near the house. And I guess I can't blame him as the wild honeysuckle has pretty well taken over our woods turning it into a jungle.
I'd also LOVE to have a clematis, but have had very little luck growing this! Another wish is for the fall blooming clematis -- my mother had some in our yard and it has the most wonderful smell.
I have English Ivy in beds along the front and side of our front porch and it has started climbing the porch pillars. It reminds me of my parents' home -- my niece and nephew called that house "the leafy house".
And we have some vinca vine (which I guess is another blooming vine!) around the base of a couple of trees. This is another struggle with my husband -- I think it would look better if it was mowed back once a year, but he likes the WILD look of it when it is let go.~~Jean~~

I have a clematis that I think is going to bloom this year. Also I have a trumpet vine that I'm keeping an eye on in case it decides to take over. It's by a retaining wall off to the side of the house. I had cardinal creeper last year and it almost destroyed several pieces of siding. We had to cut it down and then dig it up. Beautiful flowers but very aggressive where we had it planted.

Jerrie, there are differnt rules for pruning clematis, depending on what type you're growing. Here is a link to a good guide:

I LOVE clematis, it's my favourite climber. I've tried on several occasions to grow them but to no avail. Enjoy yours!
I have to add that I also have a huge climbing white rose and ivy in a pot that I've trained up a topiary pole.

A Wisteria, Honeysuckle and Bleeding Heart Vine. Also a small Jasmine and a new one we bought last week called a Butterfly Plant, it apparently has small blue butterfly shaped flowers on it.

I have wild morning glories on the edge of my driveway, and on my back fence. They are so beautiful in the morning!

oh, I also have a bleeding heart vine. I'm so forgetful - although my DH would say I have too many plant to remember them all.

I have a winter jasmine which looked lovely all winter even though it's only small.
I have a clematis which I rescued from certain death at a garden centre last year. the first flower appeared on it yesterday, I noticed it when I was having a daydream and looking out of the window at the rain, it's sooooo beautiful, made me feel really happy.
