Really interesting read- aside from slaughtering the animals for food, it is all stuff I would like to do. I am really interested in the solar heating. In the past, our house had soalr panels. They were removed at some point. I
Darlene, if you are reading, do you have any idea why so many houses in the area have solar panels?
Anyway, back on topic, it would be great if those guys would write a book. I think they are incorporating a lot of great ideas into their home and life. I'd like to read more about them. And it makes me want to move to a warmer climate so I can garden longer! Maybe I shold start a hydropnic garden in the basemenT....

Great article! Zoning would prohibit this type lifestyle in 90 to 95% of the areas here (animals would not be allowed).
