Garlic planting
Hi, I'm new here and have a question about planting garlic.
I have the cloves/bulbs. Do they need to sprout before planting, and do I have to remove the white papery layers first, or can they just go in the ground as they are? And should I stagger the planting, a few cloves at a time?
TIA for your help!

Reply I think you can plant them as they are. I usually let mine sprout first though.

I just break the head up into cloves and stick the cloves into the ground as they are, pointy end up.
