    Default Tomato Question

I have a container of weeping tomatoes. I planted them in with Miracle Grow Potting Soil plus some Osmocote balanced fertilizer. About 2 weeks ago, it blew over and one of the main branches broke off. I set it upright, but left the brank on my deck. Now, the tomatoes on the broken branch are turning red, but the ones on the plant (and there are lots - I had lots of flowers and lots of green tomatoes) - are still green and showing no signs of turning red. Is there any particular nutrient I should give them to help the fruit along?

Sara, I am just guessing, and there will be others who know better, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the ones on the plant. If you pick tomatoes when they are green and leave them on, say, a sunny windowsill, they will turn red. I suspect the ones on the branch are turning red because they are no longer growing, unlike the ones still on the plant.

None of my tomatoes are red, and IIRC, I started mine before you got yours. We live in roughly the same zone, so I'd say just give them more time. Mine are sitll as green as can be, but that is because they are still growing.
