    Default Dug my first potatoes!

The silly things were actually an accident. I planted some sets early on, and THEN DH decided to till. Well, one must have liked it because it grew a vine. Mom told me to dig after the vine died down, so I started today. I got 2 good sized ones and 3 small ones, but they will be french fries tonight!

I need to dig somemore, but the butter knife I was using was not "cutting" it.

New potatoes are so much better than store bought ones. Yum!

I have taken potatoes that have sprouted eyes and cut the eyes out with a little potatoe under the eye. Let them lay for a day or two and then planted them and they grew. They are not hard to start.
