Oh I hate to hear that. She was a wonderful lady. I loved reading about her. I never got to hear her, she never came close enough to my area for me to hear her lectures but I had also hoped that I would be able to someday. She will be missed by many. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.

that's sad. She sounded so full of life with all her travels around the country meeting people who'd read her book.

I met Carla On the 6th of this month. Just days before she passed away. She was a wonderful woman. Two years ago she was to come stay with us to do a talk but my father died and we were having houseing troubles. She remembered me and all that we had been thru. After seeing thousands of people she remembered me. I was so touched. My family and I helped her and Don load there van. We all talked and laughed. She took a picture with my friend and me. . I will treasure those memories forever.

My friend had her come to our town last year. In fact I took the picture of her speaking that's on her web site. She was an awesome lady. She will be missed.

Thanks for sharing. I had no idea who this was. Now that I'm reading about her, it makes me want to buy her books. She looks like she died too young.

Her book Encyclopedia of Country Living is wonderful. I'm sad to hear she has passed away. She gave so much of herself to others.
