You don't need to own a homestead to join our Homesteading Club.
You don't need to own a homestead to join our Homesteading Club. All you need is a belief that you can lead a rewarding life away from the mainstream and have the willingness to learn the skills necessary to sustain that lifestyle.
Homesteaders are self-sufficient and do as much for themselves as they can. They sew, quilt, mend, bake, cook from scratch, garden, preserve the harvest, make jams, jellies and relish, keep chickens, ducks or dairy cows, homeschool, reduce, reuse, recycle and repair, stockpile, they support their local community and they tread lightly on the earth. Some homesteaders do all of the above, many of us do only what is important to us and our families.
If you're interested in this lifestyle, please join our threads. If you like what you see and want to learn more and share your experiences, join our Homesteading Club.

I sometimes wondered about this. I already do alot of the things y'all talk about....buy I'm in a town. A regular ol' lot with a regular ol' house.
My dream is to have an acreage...maybe 10 acres or so. I would be in heaven.
We need to pay more down on our house before I'm wanting to spend the money for land.
Around here, the going price for 3 acres is $65K. I want to stay in this school district.
Bigger garden, chickens, fireplace, ....AH!
Anyway, I'd like to participate in some of these threads.

I have 1 acre and do alot of gardening. I am a master garderer in our county and work with the extension office. I support our local farmers which are mostly Amish. We buy all of our meat from my DIL who raises black angus cattle. Its my dream to buy a few acres in Lancaster County PA. I live about 20 min away and I go there all the time and LOVE it there. Maybe someday.......
