    Default my neighbor's garden

Our neighbor 2 doors down has sold her house and moved several months ago.  The new people have moved in.  She & I were the only ones on this street that hang out our clothes on the line, and the only ones with gardens so-to-speak.  Her garden was impressive!  Raspberries, the most wonderful strawberries, and tomato plants taller than me!  Their radishes were never too hot. I could always count on them for advice when I was stumped.  I will mess them.

The new owners have a bobcat and several men out today tearing up that beloved garden.  The timbers are now gone & they're flattening out the dirt that her husband worked so hard to get there. Years & years of preparing that soil....gone.

    It's a sad day.

Oh no! I wonder why some people can't see beauty when it's right in front of them. It's so sad that such a lovely garden is being destroyed. If they rip out the raspberries you should go down and rescue them.

I hope they don't put in a horrible concrete driveway or some other monstrosity. Maybe it's a good idea to stay in your little garden and have a cup of tea.

That really stinks. How sad that all the hard work and love that went into the garden is being destroyed. . Well, I hope that they turn out to be good neighbors in spite of their gardencide.

Jamee, yes, how sad. You wonder if the new owners even thought anything about the garden when they bought the place, don't you. Or did they just see it as a bunch of work that was going to have to be done to rip it out. I hope your old neighbors never have to see what has been done.
