Garden or should I say 'farm

I live on 5 acres of land and we planted close to 2 of them with everything imaginable and then some. We actually grew celery and it was good. This was a first year for eggplant for us. The corn didn't and cucumbers didn't do well because we didn't get much rain here in Ohio. I've canned applesauce, pear butter, tomato sauce. I've frozen corn, and beans. I was ablt to make some pickles this summer but not as many as I would have liked to.

I am so envious. I can hardly wait to have our own home. I am hoping for some land to be able to plant etc. I enjoy canning, but haven't done any in years.

I am dying of envy too, Brandy. [img]/phpbb/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] I always wanted a place with some land. I tried to grow veggies in containers this year but, didn't have much luck [img]/phpbb/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif[/img]. The way the groceries are going up these days, you really are lucky to have all of those things to can.

having all the veggies to can is great. I grew up canning veggies and when we lived in the city [img]/phpbb/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif[/img] I didn't get a chance to do it and missed it.
