Do you wear an apron all day or....
Just when your making a meal or baking?
We have a number of Hutterite colonies surrounding us and the woman and girls in these colonies wear their aprons all day.
I wear mine all the time when I'm baking or making a meal, or when I'm washing dishes. Otherwise it comes off.

I never wear an apron. I've often thought of getting one, but don't know if I could tolerate wearing one or not.

You know, I have never worn one either. I would love to have one, but I don't think I have even seen them in the stores. And absolutely no sewing skills here!

Me too.....
I can remember my mother having a drawer full of them and I would occationally wear one as a young girl while helping in the kitchen. I will have to see if I can find one.

I put mine on in the morning & usually have it on all day. I like the butcher style ones. Time to make some new ones since the ones I have are really starting to show some wear and have a few too many stains, lol. I'm a messy cook.

Oh, I have some cute aprons, but I usually forget to put them on. When I do wear one, then I take it off when I'm done in the kitchen.

I try to remember to wear it when baking. Mine get filthy with baking goo as I always wiped my hand on mone when I was a pastry chef. Butter, flour, etc all over it.
Of course, that is what it is for.
(And thanks for reminding me about Hutterites. I heard a story about them on Discovery radio and wanted to read more about them.)

I just put a handtowel around my waist and tuck it into my pants on both sides. This way, I can wipe my hands and protect my tummy while leaning over. Then wipe down my area. Multifunctioning here!
I suppose, that I could just sew bias tape or grosgrain along the lengthwise - leaving extra to tie in back. But then, I wouldn't be able to use it for a hand towel anymore.
My family would just laugh at me if I put a full apron on.
Although I should have worn a full one yesterday- ruined my shirt with pasta sauce splash! But I'm not sure if an apron would have helped with what happened to me yesterday.

I have a really nice apron that my brother-in-law bought me last Christmas. I like it and wear it when baking. I don't really remember to wear it when making dinner, etc. My mother bought me another one for Christmas because she thought I needed two, (which I don't), so I took that one to the consignment shop.
