    Question Favorite perennials?

I have a couple. Since I came here, I have to add Hostas along with Black Eyed Susans and Sashta daisies.

Well, it depends on the season --- in the spring my favorites are the ephemerals like bloodroot, spring beauties, dog tooth violet and others. In the summer I basically love anything that is perennial (and that I don't have to replant!!!) --- especially hollyhocks (I know they are biennials, but they do come back every year), peonies, hostas, blazing star, purple coneflower. There are others I haven't been able to establish in my garden yet --- and Shasta Daisies are among them. Hopefully one day!!

In the veggie department, I looooove garlic!

In the ornamental department, I love brugs and am growing them for the first time this year. Cannas are another long-admired new perennial for me.

Oh, I absolutley love tiger lilies!! I haven't grown them here yet, though. I need to get some planted.

I never liked hostas untill a few years ago I planted several different varieties under my maples. Now I just love how they are filling in. In the spring bleeding hearts are my favorites and for summer color I just love my tickseed because, it blooms even in my shady yard.

I love iris, hostas, azaleas and ferns. I found a small pot of turk's cap at the garden center and its been on my nightstand all winter. I'll set it out in the spring. My grandmother had a large bush of it in her front yard. She said the hummingbirds love it.

I also forgot one, day lilies. I love watching them, because each day there is a new one opens up.
