Question What type of gardening tools do you use the most?

We use a rake, hoe and spade shovel the most. Dh also tills the garden with a tiller. I prefer using the shovel, however the tiller gets it done a whole lot faster.

My favorite thing isn't really a tool. It' Mud Gloves I wear out a few pairs each year. I like my hand cultivator. I put in several raised beds last year and they are so easy to maintain. I think I am going to build a few more this year. I love my little mantis tiller,
DH bought it for me a few yrs ago and I love it.

This sounds snotty, but I don't mean it that way:

I use books and the 'net and my brain. By doing a lot of research and planning, I've managed to keep the heavy manual labor to a minimum. I definitely spend more hours planning the garden than I do working in it. And I enjoy both.

I'm not sure what this thing is called --- its a short handled tool with a two-headed implement --- one side is a fork the other sideis a little hoe. And its nice and sharp and makes weeding a lot easier and more "enjoyable" if that is possible. I also like a hoe, especially a pointed weeding hoe.

Until recently my absolute favorite was a small shovel that used to belong to my grandmother. My dad had it after she died and then I got it after he died. I loved using it and it was just the right size. However DH broke it. He's really in the doghouse over it too --- but maybe he will fix it.
