Question What won't you plant in your veggie garden this year?

I'd have to say Swiss chard. Not because it isn't liked but because we have so much from this year. If I do plant it, I'll only plant half a row. We can't eat it fast enough, having grown 4 rows.

Onions. I can buy them so cheaply for all my canning needs that it doesn't make sense for me to try and grow just a few from the garden. I'd rather devote the space to something else (though I will plant some bunching onions for the salad gardens)

Lemon cucumbers. They weren't anything special, and I don't think I have any seeds left. I trellis my vining veggies, and I'd rather use the limited trellis space for more beans or peas.

Brussels sprouts. On impulse I bought starts from the nursery (they sounded so good). Well I bought SIX starts. Turns out I'm the only one who likes them, well besides the ducks.

Tomatillos! They took up lots of space, and I never got enough to try the green salsa recipe!

    A lot
No carrots, summer squash (my parents grow so much, no need for me to as well), broccoli & cauliflower didn't fair so well, neither did the green peppers.

I grew something called asparagus peas last summer --- they were pretty but the fruit set was not great. So if I grow those again, it will be only for the flowers.

I won't plant as many tomatoes or as much corn --- and this is soooo hard to do!

    Green peppers & cucumbers.

Have tried growing them for years with NO success. Guess it's finally time to give up.

Asparagus. It just will not cooperate! Also will not grow onions as they are very cheap here. Probably will not grow carrots as the moles in my area get them all anyway! But I cant wait to get some tomatoes, green peppers, green beans, sugar snap peas, cucumbers and even the lowly zucchini in the ground. And the little cherry tomatoes for salads....yummy DGD will sit and eat them right off the vine. Makes me hungry
