Sometimes if I'm working on the rough stuff. I want to get a pair of those silicone rubber type so when I'm working out & it's wet they don't get soaked through.

Someimtes yes, sometimes no. It really depends on what I am working with. Squichy wet leaves from the leaf mold pile? Yes. Roses? Yes. Planting seeds? No. Picking veggies? No.
Also, I have a LOT of those little prickery things growing all around/through my garden (not willing to use an herbicide to kill them, especially so close to my garden) and I sometimes have to wear my gloves when I normally wouldn't because of them. I'm forever pulling the stupid things.

Yes like the others, --- sometimes depending on what I'm doing. But usually I don't wear them.

Most of the time, I do. Parents of NICU babies aren't real fond of nurses who's hands are so stained that they look dirty.

I only wear gloves when weeding (makes it easier to grasp those tough buggers) or doing garden clean up.

I never used to, but now I always wear them. My hands dry out and crack whenI am working in the soil. Its probably all the clay in our soil here in PA.

I usually do, I have cute pair with cherries on them. I hate the feeling of dirt under my fingernails. I don't mind getting my hands dirty but the dirt under the nails just icks me out.

I start out with them and end up ditching them.
Here is a tip when not wearing gloves.
Run your nails over a bar of soap before you garden, it really does help to keep them clean.
