Do you plant enough just for the season....
Or enough veggies to hopefully last until the next growing season.
Enough to hopefully last until the next growing season and enough to give away to the neighbours as well.

Right now I am still feeling-out the whole full-sized garden thing. I just finished an article (Countryside, from the library) about over-wintering, though, and will plan accordingly next year so I can work out some experiments.

I grow vegies for about 10 months of each year. I try to sow seeds so I can have a continuous supply throughout my growing season.

I try to grow enough to store to last year-round, but doing so has been a gradual process. Each year, I add a bit more, based on the year before. With my luck, just when I get it perfected, my oldest dd will leave home!

I usually try to grow enough of most crops to eat in season with a LITTLE extra to put away (freeze/can/whatever). Tomatoes and corn are things I have liked to freeze/can --- but I'm running into obstacles in feeding these things to my family.

I grow enough to keep us through the off-season, as well as feed the neighbors and a few friends here and there.

We grow as much as our limited garden space will allow us. It is enough for the season to eat fresh and to preserve some. But I always end up at the farmers market buying bushels of produce to put up for winter. but we sure enjoy the fresh from the garden and do share that with family and friends

In years past I try to have a garden that we can eat from in the summer, and preserve some, though often ending up at the farmers market.
This year my goal is to eat fresh, plus can and freeze enough for the winter, with hopefully some surplus to give/sell (depending on who wants what! LOL!)

I don't have a lot of space, but I grow enough for us to eat fresh, and freeze or can whatever is left.
