Default I got a ? about green beans

I have been looking all over the internet about growing green beans. We are going to be growing them in a container. I have found all the info I need except for storage. I have seen that they can be stored in the refrigerator for a week. Can you freeze them?

Green beans freeze very well. Blanch them first.

I freeze mine all the time. The need to be blanched first, then put into cold water immediately, just like you freeze any veggie. I blanche them for 1 minute at a good rolling boil. We are still eating green beans from our garden the past year, however they are getting pretty low.

Mine never make it that far, lol. I prectically eat them all before they get into the house.

But yes, everyone else is absolutely right. Blanch then freeeze.

We do not like frozen green beans, so we have always canned them. But haven't grown any in a long time -- at 33 cents a can I just buy them.

Thanks you guys. I really appreciate it. Of course I am jumping to the conclusion that I am going to be able to grow them. This will be my first attempt!!
