what's will be new in your vegie garden this year?
I plan on planting lebanese eggplant and some heirloom tomatoes that I haven't grown before. I've also recently put in a necartine tree that I will be espaliering along a fence. I've never grown espaliered fruit before.
What about your garden, what's new this year?

I will probably try some new beets as I've discovered my son loves beets, but I don't know any variety names yet. Last summer I grew Red Mangle beets which were very interesting and grew to a huge size. They really bled out their color in cooking so were almost white when done, even when I left plenty of tops on them.
I also would like to establish some strawberries which I've had terrible luck with so far.
Even though its not new because I planted it last summer, my rhubarb plants are very new to me. If they make it through the winter and produce enough for a pie or two I'll be tickled.~~Jean~~
