Default Why am I thinking so conservatively?

    It's just dirt.

My current garden (I just measured) is 15ft by 14ft. Last year was the first year that I really kept up with it and never let even one area get away from me. So this year, I've decided that I've 'earned the right' to double the size of the garden.

I'm working on my plan for the various beds and I just need more space. Besides I'd like to try some herbs - not only for their usefulness, but also their beauty.

But my conservative side is saying: "Just add a little this year. Make sure it works out okay. Then next year you can add a bit more." Besides it costs money and I'm not necessarily saving over purchasing non-organic produce.

    But golly I like gardening.

Then I thought of Owiebrain and her 100 tomato plants. (I have 5 planned.)

And you know what...it's just dirt! I'm going for it!!

And another thing....you only get to do the big garden once a year, so I really only have maybe 30 more gardens in my life.

Woo hoo!!!! That's the way to think!!

Life is meant to be lived and dirt is meant to plowed...or tilled...or lasagna layered....or anything as long as it's for gardening purposes! Lawns are for wimps!
