Down on the Homestead March 12-18
Morning all! Thought I would start the thread for the week.
Yesterday Raechel and I worked all day in the yard. It was really overdue since the old owners did nothing here but live. It's starting to come around.
This morning DH surprised me with breakfast in bed (donut and tea, lol). I clipped all of my coupons, now I have to file them. I opted not to go to church today as the weather is miserable and raining and I just feel like hunkering down today. I will file all of my coupons later and make a grocery list for the week.
I need to pay a few bills online too today.
I should make something yummy too.
Have a great week!

I spent the day yesterday cleaning the 2nd story of my house (out of THREE!! The house is small, but tall.
). I also made three different soups, chili, and cooked up some taco filling. Today, I have to cook a 19 lb turkey, then divide it into its various components for use later, make some lentil soup, make about a week's worth of meals for the parrots (who get their own veggie, pasta, fruit, and seed mix daily) and work on either the 1st or 3rd floor!
There is over a foot of snow outside, so if it doesn't go away by tomorrow, I may be taking the day off of work to finish cleaning the house! It snows about once every two or three years out here, and my work car is not equipped for driving in it, so I may get to have a work "snow day." My first one EVER! Now I know how those kids feel on Sundays when the school threatens not to open the next day!

Hello. Went to the doctor for my neck. He thinks that the "growth" is in my artery. I go for a CT scan next Mon. then to his office Wed. morning. He said either way, I'll have to have surgery. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Hi everyone. I've been real busy this week. Lots of stitchwork, quilting, knitting and rug hooking. Two nights out shopping for groceries and doing errands. Six different meetings - all to do with my stitchwork.
DD#2's Internet bf went home Wednesday a.m. We are recuperating just fine.
Monday was dh's 54th bd. We went out for supper. His supper was free.
Pulled out all my quilting projects to organize and finish. Lots to work on. Will be working on some today.
Colour planning another hooked rug. It's complicated.
Baked bread this week. Am making yogurt right now. Need to make some strawberry jam today too. Also need to mail a letter to dsis#3, but I'm waiting for the wind to die down. It's nasty outside.
