    Talking Homesteaders wish list

    My wish list is:

    - a cook stove that is in good shape and workable

    - a larger generator. We have one but its pretty small.

    - more fruit trees

    - a juicer (although its another appliance I love the taste of juice made in them)

    - an antique baby's baptism gown

    - more oil lamps

    How about your wish list?

I would really like for us to have a generator since we have to worry about hurricanes from June 1st thru Nov. 30th every year. Some oil lamps wouldn't be a bad idea either.

    chickens again
lots of fencing so we could have more animals

I have been going over all the homesteading threads from the beginning so you might see more of them bumped!!

Wish lists ~ I find that mine are always changing!

    Right now it would be:

    ~definitely more fruit trees
~more blueberry and raspberry bushes and strawberries
~a grain mill (yes, CJ, the urge finally happened and now I WANT one!)
    ~a couple of sheep
~a working "pump" well (my Dad bought my Mom one to put on their well for decoration and after it was put up Mom decided it looked so good she wanted to use it...we bought it from a Mennonite catalogue, it's a real heavy one....so M and D's friend is a well driller so he had lots of parts to hook it up for Mom and it's great! All her watering cans sit on the well just waiting to be filled) My kids love it!
~a new barn (not asking much am I?) Ours has seen better days!
    ~one more vegetable garden

Calico, you go ahead and bump up any homesteading thread you want.

I was just going through the wishlist - did I purchase anything on it yet? Hmmmm I got more oil lamps.

    I've now added:

    - a good quality canner
    - a dehydrator
    - a butter churn

I'm also looking for an old wringer washing machine!! This summer is going to be a fun summer looking for these things.

Has anyone else gotten anything on their list?

I haven't gotten anything but I'm starting my wishlist now

    I want:

    A greenhouse
    a solar heater
a windmill generator for the house
None of mine are very cheap!

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*

Let see for me it is
    a sewing machine
    tiller
    kitchen aid or similar appliance
turn on the electric to the well for outside use
fruit trees and bushes (hopefully this one and the well one will be done this spring!)
Hmmm that all I can think of for now.

Land!!! I want more land!!!! LOL! We live within our town limits so I cannot have certian animals and yet my neighbors right over our fence can since their property is half way in town and half way out. I'd love to be able to buy their property if they ever decide to sell because they have a huge garden, fruit trees, a greenhouse and out buildings. We were going to buy a section of their property at one time and agreed on the deal, but then they backed out thinking they could get more money out of someone else. They never did, so there the property sits and they have to pay taxes on property they don't even use. I know. kind of mean of me to think that way, but after they made the deal with us and then decided to get greedy, I kind of think they got theirs.
