Black eyed susans
I have done search after search to find out if they are edible. They do not appear on edible or poisonous plant lists. I know they're part of the sunflower family, which are edible. My chickens will eat the leaves, when offered.
Does anyone know if they are edible by humans?

I too am not sure, Here's a link to handy list of ones that are edible. I was surprised how many flowers are. http://whatscookingamerica.net/Edibl...lowersMain.htm

Darlene,
Thanks, I've looked at that site before, tho. They don't list them. Maybe I should call a library? Hopefully thier reference dept could tell me.
