Default What Vegetables Are You Growing In Your Garden?

Thought it would be fun to see what everyone is growing.

We have two fenced in plots. In the first plot, we planted red potatoes, corn, peas, cucumbers, yellow squash and spring onions. We dug up the potatoes a few weeks ago and we have them stored in a second fridge. We are picking squash, cucumbers and pulling onions now. The corn is starting to tassle, so it won't be long before we have ears forming, and we should have peas ready to pick and shell by the end of next week.

In the second plot, we planted tomatoes (Beef Master & Cherry), red and green bell peppers, eggplant, okra, more corn, more peas, more yellow squash, pole beans, zucchini, rooster spur peppers, cow horn peppers and mild, sweet banana peppers. We are picking squash, tomatoes, all peppers, eggplant now. Peas, pole beans and okra next week, and the corn is the same as the first plot.

    So, what you growing?

Well, we planted, green beans, okra, cabbage, squash and tomatoes. The beans and okra didn't survive the drought. Of course, those were my 2 favorite veggies, wouldn't you know?

We fought hard to save our gardens from the drought we had here in southeast Ga.. We watered every morning and evening. When T.S. Barry came through, we received 5 inches in two days, and that was such a blessing.

We usually grow cabbage in the winter along with our sweet potatoes, turnip, mustard and collard greens. There is nothing like home grown cabbage! besides, I have a friend who planted 1/2 acre each of cabbage and corn, so I'll have plenty of cabbage from his garden. I'm giving him squash and peppers now.

Mine looks a lot like bridge's. We have zucchini, tomatoes, yellow bell peppers, and cucumbers.

We are also growing watermelon and strawberries too.

Since I live in a condo, we don't have alot of room for a garden, but I managed to grow a few tomato plants and they've already produced quite a few tomatoes
