    We have the red and the black racers in the yard. We finally caught the black ones and relocated them. The red ones are much more interested in mice. I'd rather have the snakes than the mice.

    He is harmless (other than to your goldfish) and does keep vermin at bay. Screening will need to be anchored securly cuz snakes can get in very tiny holes. I would leave the pond fish free for a while until he moves on. He has found an unlimited buffet in your fish pond. Once he learns that the free buffet is gone, he will move on. I know that people don't like snakes, but he is harmless and is a necessary cog in the environment

    Baaaaaaarf. Sorry You're a much braver woman than I am, taking a picture of it while it's eating one of your fish. I would've probably ended up on the roof screaming my lungs out (and DH would've joined me haha).

    EWWWWWWW! Maybe this is why we dont have a pond or is it the West Nile Virus potential with the mosquitos?? Hrm...toss up here but then again Im in the city and I really dont want to find out that we have snakes here - yes Im in denial!
