Wow, what kind of snake is it?
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Uh-oh....looks like you're gonna have to put a screen down over the pond. I had to do that with my last pond, because the raccoons were eating all the fish.

Try putting some mothballs around the tank. They are suppose to repel snakes because of the odor they give off. We put some in our shed because of a snake problem. Well, the snake moved, but DS#2 said last night he saw a huge field rat in the shed! UGH!!

Yep, it's a garter snake. They are harmless but will continue to eat your fish. Screening should help. Good luck!

the guy at the pet store said i must not have any mice if he's gotta busy himself with the fish. I hope hope hope he's chowing on the fish because he's exhausted the mice.

Get one of those motion sensored owls from Target or K-Mart. Put it in the area where you are seeing the snake. It will run like *ell.

OH MY~ He's got that poor fishy in his mouth!
We have 2 snakes - Blue Racers living in our backyard and DH refuses to kill them. It's a mamma and her baby. They keep our sheds clear of mice but they do give me a startle.Donna F.

Oh gosh, I HATE snakes. They creap me out. You're nicer than me, I would have taken the picture AFTER I took the axe to him. Sorry, I know that sounds horrible but I can't stand them!

LOL i have to look at it in this way...on one hand...snakes, other hand...mice. Which do i like the least? mice because they come inside and destroy family food. Snakes stay out and kill the mice. so i guess its one ick over another, lol.
