Trying to get an urban homesteading group together locally
I just put an ad on my local Craigslist to try to get people together who are practicing or interested in urban homesteading. I'd like to eventually turn it into sort of a lobbying group for our county, and even our state, to institute things such as rainwater catchment for drinking water, or wind power (either residentially or to supplement other electric sources).
I'm hoping there are others out there who are as concerned as I am with the state of affairs in my community, and would be willing to help. I'll let you know if I get any responses. I'm going to keep the ad up until I get at least 10 people in.

Hi Jaded,
Great idea! I live in the Wilmington, DE/Philadelphia area and would love to find something like that here! In what area of the country are you located?
Good luck and let us know what kind of results you see!
