Does anyone here have any experience with homesteading in Canada? I'm particularly interested in hearing how you cope with a short growing season and also how you deal with cold winters.

How much of your own food are you able to grow? If you have livestock, how do you feed and keep them through the winter months? What do you use to heat your homes?
