Store herbs in dark airtight containers, or in jars in a cupboard, this will keep them fresh.

Pick fresh herbs in the summer and dry them for winter use. You can also wrap them in foil and put them in the freezer. When doing this do so in small parcels. Another cool way is to finely chop the herbs and place them in an ice cube tray with water and freeze. Once they are frozen you can pop them out into a larger container or bag. Use when needed
