Smile Mother nature can be cruel

Saturday it was 74 degrees and beautiful. I got 3 gardens cleaned up, all of the leaves reaked {didn't do it in the fall}, moved some river rock to it's new location and spread some grass seed and compost soil on top. After 3 hours, I sat in the porch swing with iced tea and a magazine and ended up having a cat nap. Ahhh loving the weather.

Then, Sunday it's 30 degrees and it snows a few inches. Today it's 28 degrees. Oh man, that's not fair when you have Spring fever!

Tell me about it... I keep looking at the area we have for the garden... it's still covered in 3 feet of snow...

It's 39 right now, suppose to get up to 50... but... I don't see it happening, it's already 12:45.

More snow on the way... long after the calendar says it's spring, we get snow *sigh* The latest date I can think of that we got snow (and not just a dusting, something that needed to be shoveled) May 18, 2002.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Didn't yesterday just ....well...lets say it was a bummer.

I was all set for yard work and bam, we got hammered by wind, snow, and frigid temps.

    Ahhhh, life in the rockies.

Knowing snow and ice were on the way, but also wanting to work outside, we spent Sat & Sun cleaning out leaves, composting and turning soil. Now the extra moisture and cold can work for us. I put some additional mulch around my bulds that are ready to bloom.

Now, I'm ready to do housework and recover from pushing the wheelbarrow. I'm so sore!
