Default Need a quick answer please on container gardening

I have some plants that died this winter in my pots. Can I reuse that soil or do I need to use fresh? I'm heading out to the nursery in a bit and need to know if I should buy more.

I reuse my soil, I just make sure to mix in fertilizer. I use the slow release granules and just mix it right into the dirt.

I do most of the time add some fresh soil also make sure if the plant died off early or looked sick get rid of the soil and was the pot with hot soapy water.

I reuse the soil too. I also add fertilizer. Never had a problem. I dump out the dirt and clean the pot with a very mild bleach solution, 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. Rinse very well and dry throughly. Then I'm good to go!
