I planted a few tomato plants and started seed for some more in pots and directly in the soil. I also planted 3 varieties of squash from seed. But it is blazing hot here, hope they make it. I move ginseng to a larger pot along with some kiwi plants I purchased and a bay leaf herb plant. I did have a strawberry off one plant but a bunch more coming.Lettuce is ready.

still too wet to till here. Downsizing the garden here too as my kids are starting to leave home so don't need to grow as much. blossoms are covering my peach trees so i think I will have a great peach crop this year. Hopefully pears and apples will do as well. Need to revamp the strawberries, and move some grapes, and cut back on some blackberries. May need to cut back on raspberries too. I'll have my bush cherries in and ready to be picked by mid June. (gave away last years cherries, but I think I will juice them this year) Need to get a couple more blueberry bushes to help my poor plants I have here, they don't look too well.

Hi,Right now just cleaning out all of the dead from the flower beds, leaves weeds sticks that has fallen out of trees.I have the rose bed done. Now I am working on the main flower bed alot of work but so fun.Better than being inside.I cut down all the dead in the garden going to rake it and then till.I think I am going to move the garden to the very back of the yard and have it go the width like to make it larger this year. With the prices of food and how they keep going up I think this is a great idea.Alot of work but I love being outside.

Not sure I can call it a garden yet... but I have 10 onions in the dirt. I also have 8 pea plants and 4 basils in the little grow cup thingamagiggie.

But... I finally have something in the dirt... besides worms!
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I noticed yesterday the chives are up. In my little peat pots I have sprouted: Broccoli, romaine, parsley, cherry tomatoes, and one lonely yellow squash lol. I still need to get regular tomatoes and beans. I'm just going to buy starters from the garden store.

Got garden plowed today. Finally dry enough.

I have zucchini and cucumbers started in peat pots. Neighbor gave me a tomato plant she raised today.
I have green onions planted in a small tub. Tomorrow I plan to plant spinach, lettuce, and more green onions IN the garden.
I generally don't put plants out till May 1, and everybody here thinks I'm nuts for doing it that early. But I always have garden stuff first!!!!!! HAHA

My chives are about 6 inches, thyme is sprouting outside, and all perenials are up and thriving, including roses.
I love this time of year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been really wet here, but I think I'll finally get my veggies in the ground tomorrow. I already have sugar snap peas and bibb lettuce that have been up for a few weeks. Tomorrow I'm putting in tomatoes, bell peppers, jalepenos, zuchinni, and okra. Pole beans will go in as soon as peas are finished
