Fresh Herbs, yay!
I decided to try growing fresh herbs and I noticed yesterday that they started coming up. Anyone else growing herbs and what kind are you having luck with?

My purple basil doesn't look that great, but I also have cilantro, culantro, mint, basil and Italian parsley that are doing well. Fresh herbs are the best!

I'm using an AeroGarden to grow Italian Basil, Purple Basil, Chives, Dill, Thyme, Parsley, and Mint and I've already had to freeze a whole bunch since it is growing faster than I can use it. Hard to get used to having all that fresh herbs just for the clipping.
I've also started from seed a Burpee hybrid Jalapeno Pepper that has less heat and can be grown in a pot.

I have garlic chives and I have divided these several times, I just purchased onion chives and have already divided them.I just purchased a bay tree-for bay leaf and it seems to be doing ok. I started basil and cilantro from seed and they are coming up in an herb pot. I have sage (green, purple and purple and white)and rosemary. I have parsley and thyme in another pot. I just bought dill seed-10 cents at walmart . I did not know if there is any difference in basil and sweet basil? Is the thyme a perennial or does it reseed itself?

Just went to Home Depot today and bought, rosemary, sage, basil, parsley, and mint. Will be growing from seed chives, cilantro, oregano, and dill. Forgot thyme so will probably end up buying that. Really enjoy fresh herbs, they even seem better dried.
