    Default Organize - ography.

    Also known as "binder porn".

So I decided to take some pics of my planning binder and slowly got them downloaded to share. I take this book just about everywhere.

Front of binder sleeve contains my weekly planning sheet (days, work schedule, things to do, menu plan, whats in the freezer/pantry and fridge, shopping lists. This gives me visible access to my week and keeps me sane. Yes, I highlight but it all helps since my schedule is never carved in stone.

Inside I have a pocket organizer with highlighters, white out tape, pen, pencil, and a small pair of scissors. Since I take Mom to her appointments these days I can grab the circulars and do them while we wait in the Drs offices.

Monthly calendar printed off of Outlook. I try to keep 3 months total so it is easier to make future appointments.

Price book. I only listed the stores that I shop at most frequently. They usually have the better prices for things I buy weekly and I can add things as I go along. I listed each category on a different page (dairy, legumes, snacks, etc).

Coupon section - a large page protector for coupons yet to be sorted and trading card sheets to keep my other coupons in place. I use 2 sheets for the current month and sort according to expiration date then category.

Organization graphics - this section holds extra copies of my weekly planner and my party planning sheet. I love Excel.

I would love to see how other people organize their planning. Having read through so many posts about binders and then finally seeing one makes all the difference in the world.

Oh my. That's organized. I started one years ago because I was having a house-sitter for a week stay at my house.

Since then its been phone-reminders to carry with me and a white board calendar at home.

Um, wow! You are very organized.

I have all our plans/finances/price book on my phone. I take that and a coupon book and I'm ready to roll.

Can you post your weekly planning sheet so that we can download (I have no idea how that's done or if it's possible). I tried to make one years ago, but got frustrated and gave up.

Thanks for sharing how you create your binder..... especially the photos. I have tried the planning binder before, but it just did not work for me. Your system seems much simpler than what I was trying to create. I like your system better!!

While reading through the older posts I saw a lot of organizing huge all encompassing house binders. Wa-ay too much for me to tackle. So small bites! This one is weekly menu/groceries.

The next one will be household services/bills and how to contact who in case of me becoming the primary CEO of the house. And on the heels of that one will be our business binder so I can keep up with whats happening in it.

I keep trying to post my charts (word and excel) but you'll have to wait till Greebo gets home to show me how. LOL. I might need to save them in a different format for them to load or I might have to email them to you.

Your binder is so compact! Mine is one of those huge all-encompassing ones too big to haul around really. But it is the one thing I can haul out in case of fire that will have everything we need in it. It's really my office-in-a-bag. You can find a post about it on my blog...

So let me attempt once again the posting of my weekly planning chart.

This is the older version and does not include my weekly schedule or things to do sections. I also don't have the grocery list separated down to which stores.

Making something similar to this has been on my mind lately, so I've been looking at templates a lot. Why do the layout work when someone else has done it already??

    Microsoft Planner Templates

Of course, you need to download the template, but then you can modify as needed. For example, yesterday I DLed and modified a template for my PT schedule. I can't seem to upload as the file appears to be to large. My point is that these templates make organization super easy.

    what size is your file?

That's another reason someone would like to build charts from scratch.
    -Microsoft tends to bloat thing.

I will upload ceashell's charts in different file formats to accommodate folks that do not have Microsoft Word. If that is ok with her

Haha, that's probably the reason...it's 1600kb...it's got graphics and a background.
