I used to keep one daily when I did Weight Watchers and I found that being accountable for the number of points I ate was very humbling. If I don't record what I eat, it's just a bonanza of delicacies flying down my throat! Hahaha! Good gracious, perhaps I should start Weight Watchers again....
Good on you for writing it down. I'm quite sure that by keeping up with what you eat will help you tremendously. Helped me curb my snacking a LOT.
I keep a food and exercise log daily... well, almost daily... once in a while I forget. I find it really helps a lot. Just knowing that I'll have to write it down later sometimes is enough to deter me from putting junk in my mouth.

I think I'm going to start too. I bought a small spiral notebook for my infinite lists, but I think I'm going to use it as a combo food/exercise/spending journal. The big things I have to keep track of if you KWIM.

I don't keep a food journal, but I do keep an exercise journal in my day planner. I keep track of what I do for exercise and how long I exercised. I bought a package of star stickers and put one on each day I exercise! It keeps me motivated to see all the stars!!
I keep a small notebook in my purse and record what I eat. I also record the exercise. Its got some voids right now --- I've had a lapse in dedication, but I've got to get back on the stick.
Yes, I think the little notebook helps. It helps me to see what I'm doing or not; and it helps to look back when I feel like I'm not making progress and I can see that I really am.
SIGH! I found my journal from 2 years ago --- and at this same time of year I weighed less than I do now.
