    Question Coupon Categories??????

What category titles do you use for sorting coupons. I started making mine up but I have way too many. I also have weird items that don't fit in. Like cereal, buy this/get that, pickles, syrup, etc.

    Any suggestions?

Cookie mix vs. store-bought cookies, frozen veggies vs. canned veggies, ice cream vs. popsicles! LOL

Can you tell I am thinking too much?!?!?!

Oh I know how you feel !! I STILL have this problem and i've been couponing almost a year! Lol I FINALLY changed my "COFFEE" Section over to healthcare/batteries" I had ONE SOLITARY Coupon taking up that coffee section while 'toiletries' was HUMONGOUS!

I finally decided to do ALL frozens under frozens..then ALL snacks that aren't frozen go under snacks, ALL spreads/sauces are things like sryups, mayo, mustard, terriaki, fudge topping, peanut butter, jam, spaggetti sauce

I never know what to do with those boxed potato things, and boxed mac n cheese!!

So I have a flour type section that is my backing (non sweet section) so backing soda, bisquick, boxed potatoes (even though that doesn't make sense!) goes in there..

I have a whole cereal section for just cereals and cereal bars

Produce for produce related like croutons, lemon juice, almond accents,etc..

I still need to fix some of my useless catorgories though!

I have mine alphabetically by product-like Nabisco, Pillsbury, etc. For coupons I have alot of, I make a subcatagory with the name on it, so those coupons are all together.

I do by big categories, then break down the ones I use a lot of. For me baking is a catagory, cereal is one.Mouth care has toothpaste, brushes, mouthwash in it, fem hiegine, hair care and health products all have categories, but are grouped together like they are in the store. Meats is a catagory, as is frozen, and so on.

I do mine by isle and location in the store.I also put things together that I wouldn't have a lot of coupons together. Then in each category they are in alphabetical order.here's my catergories

    breads/produce
    drinks/snacks
    breakfast(cereal,waffuls,poptarts etc)
    baking
    canned foods/prepackaged foods(can include pasta)
    condiments(syrup,ketchup,pickles pb,jelly)really anything in a jar
    frozen
    refridgerated
    health and beauty items
household(cleaning, paper products)cause in my stores they are all close together
    baby
restraunts, which we hardly ever use anymore lol

Now with the cookie mix vs.store bought or the veggies a price book is great for that. This way you can catogorize your coupons with like items(ie;cookie mix in baking and chips ahoy coupons in snacks)This would be the first thing i would do it takes a lot of time and effort but it has a big payoff.

I usually organize my coupons alphabatically and then I go from there and seperate the coupons indiviually into sertain sections behind the letter it starts with!! This takes longer but it is a good option for my family and I!! Good Luck in organizing your coupons!!
