There are quite a few weird names in our area, due to the gold rush. Do you have any unusual names around you?

Pig Turd Alley in Amador City.
Hardscrabble Lane in Angels Camp.

Bummerville, near Humbug Creek.

Squabbletown and Dogtown.

There's a "Jump off Joe Creek", near the Oregon boarder, always wondered about the history...

And another one, I always wanted to visit, was:

We drove past Bucksnort not too long ago. I don't know how far off the interstate it is, but it's between Nashville and Jackson.

I used to live in Defiance, Defiance IA that is. There is a Defiance in Ohio too.
