    Default ineed of diabetic reciepes

    i am looking for simple diabetic reciepes i need them for me looking for sugar free cooie reciepes can u use splenda in place of sugar in regular cookie recipes sorry i am new to all this just had to go on insulin last week

    good for you for taking your health seriously.

    there are TONS of resources online for foods.

    the hardest part is thinking you "can't" have all kinds of foods.
    it's really about portion control.

    using sugar substitutes is really common. I hear splenda works well, but there are lots of other substitutes out there... just look around and see which one you like the taste of. (some do taste slightly different.)

    otherwise, just use common sense with foods... and check out the cookbook LadyV recommended, and there's the common recipe places (allrecipes.com for instance) that can help you choose what's appropriate.

    I also, just eat what we normally do.. substituting sugar for splenda and keeping things in a portion size. My diabetic numbers have been really good. Also be sure to exercise.. That makes your body more easier to metabolize the sugar you do take in. Makes it burn more.. good luck and if I make anything cool I will post it...
