    Default Refresh your water tip

I buy a lot of frozen fruit (berries and peaches) to use for smoothies, cobblers, or to cook as a compote. I found that if I thaw the fruit in a sieve over a bowl I can use the water/juice from the defrosted berries to add flavor to drinking water!

I make up a pitcher of drinking water and add the fruit condensation and it's slightly flavored water much like the type they sell in bottles for a $1.50 a pop. Plus, all natural and extremely low sugar.

Great tip! I love the flavored waters, but can't justify spending the money on them most of the time. I'll definitely try this.

Thanks for the great idea. I like to add flavor to my water. I will often add a wedge of lemon or lime and sometimes I add a couple of slices of cucumber. I know that the cucumber doesn't sound like anything that you normally add to water but it adds a refreshing taste to it.

    What a fantastic idea!

I also second the cucumber idea. It makes the water taste more "crisp".
