tree sap removal
A friend of ours was in for a couple of days and managed to get tree sap on his t-shirt. It took us awhile to figure out what would get it out. Eventually we found rubbing it down and then letting it with nailpolish remover worked.

I would have tried turpentine......... so I can understand how polish remover would work.........
Yes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

When DH and I went to Hawaii 3 years ago we parked the car for a week under some trees at the motel that we stayed at the night before our flight (we had a really early a.m. flight and we're 3 hrs away from the nearest airport). When we got back to the car, the trees had deposited a thick layer of sap on the windshield and guess what, it was nighttime. We went to the nearest gas station and DH had to scrub the windshield for about an hour with gasoline in order to see enough to drive home. The next day, a friend told DH to put hot tap water in a bucket with some Dawn dish liquid and pour it on the windshield, scrub and repeat until the sap was gone and whaddya know, it worked good, and fast.
*DISCLAIMER* DO NOT put hot tap water on a cold windshield!!!! This was summertime when we did this and it was nice and warm outside. Doing it when cool/cold will cause your windshield to crack!!“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
